Luno is a Melbourne-based electrical business working across residential, commercial and light industrial projects, with a particular focus on the inner east. We’ve built our reputation by doing the things that should be standard in our industry, but often aren’t — showing up when we say we will, communicating properly, doing the work neatly and taking responsibility for the whole experience from the first conversation through to the finished job.
The business was built around a simple idea: the job is the baseline; the experience is the product. No two days are exactly the same. You’ll work across a mix of high-end residential, commercial and light industrial projects, including installations, maintenance, fault finding and larger project work.
You’ll be trusted to manage your own jobs, communicate directly with customers, organise materials and think through problems as they come up. We’re looking for someone who can work independently but knows when to ask for help, someone who notices the little things and someone who cares about leaving every job better than they found it.
The technical work is important, but so is everything around it. You’ll be representing Luno every time you walk through a customer’s door, so we’re looking for someone who understands that a clean finish, good communication and a professional attitude are just as much a part of the job as the electrical work itself.
We want good people to stay, develop and build a career with us, so we’ve put together a package that reflects that.
You’ll need an A Grade Electrical Licence, White Card and Driver’s Licence, along with at least three years of A Grade experience. Experience with solar, batteries, refrigeration or split systems is a bonus, but it’s not the deciding factor.
More importantly, we’re looking for someone who takes genuine pride in their work and understands that being a great electrician is about more than technical ability. You’ll need to be reliable, organised and comfortable working independently, while also being someone who communicates well and contributes positively to the team.
You might be the kind of electrician who spots something that could be done better and speaks up. You might be someone who enjoys solving a tricky fault or finding a better way to approach a job. The referral bonus is paid in two stages: $1,500 after the new employee completes their six-month probation, and another $1,500 after they reach 12 months with Luno.
The same payment structure applies to the $3,000 sign-on bonus for the successful new employee.
