No. We protect floors, clean up as we go, and keep cabling neat and hidden wherever possible.
We'll introduce your electrician and confirm the timing before the day. If anything changes, you'll hear from us first.
Not at all. A lot of our work is in period homes across the inner east, and we'll tell you plainly what needs doing now and what can wait.
For most electrical problems, the answer is no. In Victoria, only a licensed electrician is legally allowed to do electrical work. That covers replacing a power point or light switch, installing a light fitting, and anything that involves wiring.
The legal side is only part of it. A job that looks simple can hide a loose connection or old wiring that turns into a fire risk months later. DIY electrical work can also affect your home insurance if something goes wrong.
What you can safely do yourself:
- Reset a tripped safety switch or circuit breaker. If it keeps tripping, call an electrician.
- Change a light globe once the light is switched off.
- Test your smoke alarms and replace the batteries in battery-powered alarms.
- Unplug an appliance you think is faulty and stop using it.
When to call us: flickering lights, power points that feel warm or show scorch marks, a burning smell, or a breaker that won't stay on. Don't wait on any of these.
