TV Wall Mounting

TV Wall Mounting Melbourne

Wall-mounted TVs look great in the showroom. Then you get home, mount the bracket, hang the TV, and you’re looking at a power cable and an HDMI lead snaking down the wall to a powerboard on the floor. It doesn’t look anything like what you had in mind — and the cleanest solution requires someone who knows what they’re doing.

Luno Electrical provides a complete TV wall mounting service across inner Melbourne: bracket selection and installation, in-wall power point directly behind the TV, concealed HDMI and data cables, and a media point at your equipment location. One visit, one team, clean result.

We’ve mounted TVs on plasterboard stud walls, solid brick, concrete and tiled walls — and we carry the right fixings for each. We locate studs and structural anchors correctly, so the mount is genuinely safe regardless of the TV size.

How It Works

  1. Tell us your TV size, wall type and preferred unit position — we’ll advise on bracket type and confirm whether in-wall cabling is possible.
  2. We provide a fixed price for the complete job: bracket, in-wall cabling, power point and HDMI plate.
  3. We complete the whole job in a single visit, test the power and connections, and leave a clean wall.

TV Wall Mounting Services

  • TV wall bracket supply and installation (fixed, tilt and full-motion)
  • In-wall power point installation directly behind the TV
  • In-wall HDMI and cable concealment
  • Media point (power + data) at equipment unit height
  • Soundbar bracket and mounting
  • TV installation on all wall types — plasterboard, brick, concrete, tile
  • Cable management for free-standing TVs

A TV mount that isn’t properly fixed to the wall structure is a genuine danger. A 65-inch TV weighs 25–30kg. Fixed to a plasterboard cavity anchor rather than a stud — or to a brick wall without the right masonry anchor — it will eventually fail. This isn’t a minor inconvenience: it’s a serious injury risk, particularly in homes with children.

Electrical cables run inside a wall without proper termination or without an installed power point also creates compliance and safety issues. The right way to do this is with a licensed electrician and a certified power point installation.

Your TV is on the wall exactly where you wanted it. There are no visible cables — just the TV, the wall, and a power point plate directly behind it. At media unit height, a matching double plate has your HDMI, power and data connections. The whole thing looks like it was designed into the room.

Commercial Display & Signage Mounting

TV and display mounting is a regular part of our commercial fit-out work — digital signage in retail spaces, presentation screens in boardrooms, display panels in hospitality venues. We provide complete installation including in-wall power, HDMI and data connections, and can co-ordinate with AV contractors where required.

Frequently Asked Questions

You need a licensed electrician to install the in-wall power point — that's a legal requirement in Victoria. The physical bracket mounting can technically be done without an electrician, but combining it in a single visit with an electrician gives you the cleanest result and saves money versus two separate visits.
Most walls can support a wall-mounted TV if fixed correctly. Plasterboard (stud) walls must be anchored into timber or steel studs — not cavity anchors alone. Brick and concrete require appropriate masonry anchors rated for the weight. We always locate the structural anchors before drilling.
A complete service (bracket, in-wall power point, concealed HDMI cabling) typically costs $350–$600 depending on wall type and cable run length. Bracket-only installation (no in-wall electrical work) is less. We provide a fixed price after confirming wall type and cable routing.

What our customers say

Andrew and the team installed a Tesla wall charger at my home. They did an outstanding job and went over and above to make sure everything was done professionally and worked properly. Before finding Luno I spoke to many electricians and they often hadn’t done an electric car home charger installation before and didn’t seem to know what was involved. Andrew and the team at Luno quickly put me at ease because it was clear they knew how to install electric car charging. Would highly recommend.

Andrew and Alex were very professional and friendly, they took measures to not leave mess and tidied up after themselves. They were thorough in asking if we wanted switches changed etc to look the best. We love our new fans and bathroom heating light. Thank you
